Position Summary The Legal Manager plays a key role in supporting contract management, legal coordination, and risk mitigation across the organization. This position works closely with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel to ensure legal processes are organized, efficient, and executed in a timely manner. This role is not responsible for providing legal advice but serves as a central point of coordination for legal matters, helping drive workflows, maintain documentation, and support business operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities Legal Coordination & Workflow Management Serve as the primary point of coordination for legal-related matters across multiple business functions. Partner with external legal counsel to track active matters, manage timelines, and ensure timely execution. Maintain visibility into legal workflows, ensuring priorities are aligned and deadlines are met. Route and manage internal legal requests efficiently between stakeholders and legal partners. Contracts & Document Management Support the review, organization, and execution of contracts, including vendor agreements, leases, and other legal documents. Track key terms, obligations, deadlines, and potential risks within agreements. Maintain centralized systems for contract storage, version control, and document tracking. Ensure legal documentation is accurate, accessible, and up to date. Operational & Project Support Assist with legal coordination related to transactions, projects, and operational initiatives. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contracts align with timelines, budgets, and risk considerations. Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and legal counsel to support efficient execution. Compliance & Risk Support Assist with compliance tracking, documentation, and internal controls. Coordinate workflows related to notices, disputes, and risk mitigation efforts. Ensure proper documentation and follow-through on legal and compliance-related matters. Administrative Oversight & Reporting Review, track, and process legal invoices, ensuring accuracy and alignment with services rendered. Maintain records of legal spend and support budget tracking. Prepare summaries, reports, and updates for leadership on legal matters and key risks. Process Improvement & Technology Identify opportunities to enhance legal workflows and improve efficiency. Implement process improvements to streamline document management and communication. Utilize legal technology and automation tools, including AI solutions, to optimize operations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; paralegal certification or related education is a plus. 4+ years of experience in legal coordination, contracts management, paralegal, or legal operations roles. Strong understanding of contract management, document workflows, and legal processes. Experience in regulated or operationally complex environments preferred (e.g., real estate, construction, or similar industries). Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. High level of discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems. Experience with or willingness to adopt legal technology and automation tools.
