About the Role As a Litigation Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing the lifecycle of complex insurance defense cases. You will leverage your expertise in New York civil procedure to ensure seamless case progression, accurate document management, and effective communication between legal teams and stakeholders. Responsibilities Draft comprehensive discovery responses, motions, and pleadings to advance litigation objectives. Manage the end-to-end discovery process, including document production, exhibit cataloging, and coordination of legal holds. Ensure strict adherence to court deadlines by monitoring CPLR requirements and maintaining precise calendars. Execute electronic filings through NYSCEF and PACER platforms with high accuracy. Conduct thorough legal research and cite-checking to support attorney briefs and case strategies. Facilitate efficient information flow by advising management on document requests and maintaining electronic repositories. Draft professional good faith letters and manage authorization processing to support case development. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in New York Insurance Defense Litigation. In-depth knowledge of CPLR and New York procedural rules. Proficiency in electronic discovery platforms and legal document management software. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on professional correspondence. Preferred Skills Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced legal environment. Strong multi-tasking capabilities with a flexible approach to shifting project priorities. Proactive problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset for team-based litigation support.
