NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in administrative, operations and program analysis, or other related fields.OR BA/BS
Degree Demonstrated ability to organize, manage, multi-task, advise staff on all levels; must be a self-starter with strong customer relations and demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience required withWindows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Duties:
Perform technical, analytical, and administrative support duties and functions. Assist with carrying out special projects as assigned and with coordinating administrative operations and actions. Requires strong skills in leveraging technology and independent work ability to research, evaluate and develop products to communicate data collection, correspondence, and support requests. Remote work available with some in-office days required. Financial and Business Operations Support- Assist in tracking expenditures and obligations for accuracy. Compile financial summaries and reports for management review. Gather documentation to support internal control processes. 25% Administrative Services Support
- Help with payroll and timekeeping processes. Collect and organize documentation for invoice payments. Arrange travel authorizations, vouchers, and reservations as directed. Prepare materials for audits and compliance reviews. 25% Acquisition Support
- Prepare procurement documentation and ensure completeness before submission. Maintain property inventory records and update logs. Assist with coordination of property disposal processes. 25% Planning and Data Support
- Gather and enter data for organizational planning systems (e.g., AFS, PMIS). Compile information for performance management reporting. Assist with preparation of planning documents and related materials. 10% Records and Documentation Support
- Organize and maintain administrative files and records.
