You'll love this job if: You take pride in being organized You are detail-oriented You can have fun at work You can be flexible What you'll do: General litigation experience, including familiarity with court filings, service of process, calendaring deadlines, and case management procedures. Prepare, proofread, file, and distribute legal documents, including petitions, demand letters, pleadings, notices, and correspondence, while ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements. Manage litigation workflow by tracking deadlines, entering case information into case management systems (CaseAware), triggering follow-up dates, and maintaining organized electronic and physical case files. Coordinate with courts, sheriff's departments, clients, and third parties regarding service of process, writs, judgments, foreclosures, replevin actions, bankruptcy matters, and related litigation activities. Utilize electronic filing and recording systems, including Simplifile and various state and federal court filing platforms, while adapting to jurisdiction-specific filing requirements and procedures. Problem solve, think independently, and undertake projects with minimum supervision in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate with attorney team in producing high quality work. Ability to work effectively and professionally with both internal and external clients on all levels. Work in a team environment. Handle processing of invoices and expenses. Other duties in compliance with Standards of Quality for Practice Support Specialist.
You should have:
Ability to problem-solve, think independently and undertake projects with minimum supervision in a timely and efficient manner. Ability to proofread material for contextual, grammatical, typographic, or spelling errors. Proficient in keeping attorneys updated and maintaining accurate tracking to support effective case management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Suite Products. Interpersonal skills to work with other Sandberg Phoenix members in a positive, teamwork environment to service our clients. 2 Year Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies or related business degree preferred.
