Location:
This is a fully on-site role in the Memorial area of Houston, TX, with periodic travel to support the trial team at courthouse and off-site locations. Free parking is provided. If you thrive in a hands-on, in-person environment where no two days are exactly the same, this role delivers that.
Note:
Candidates must be proficient with Windows and Office 365 and have intermediate to advanced hardware knowledge. Experience with document management systems such as iManage or NetDocuments is required. Prior law firm IT experience is strongly preferred. Job Description Provide Level I help desk support for incoming queries related to PC systems, software, and hardware — serving as the first point of contact for day-to-day technical issues Perform on-site IT tasks as directed by the firm's off-site higher-tiered support staff, executing escalated remediation efficiently and accurately Travel with the trial team to provide mobile, on-site IT support during trials and court appearances Support general audiovisual needs for the office and courtroom environments Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance across the firm Set up and break down workstations as needed for new hires, office changes, and special events Coordinate with the firm's cybersecurity vendor and execute advised remediation steps in a timely manner Support the development, implementation, and user training of custom software tools Manage and support document management systems including iManage and/or NetDocuments Administer and support cloud printing solutions such as Printix or PaperCut Apply working knowledge of IS and ERP systems in support of firm operations Communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys, staff, and outside vendors — staying calm and solution-focused under pressure Qualifications Prior law firm or legal environment IT experience strongly preferred Proficiency with Windows and Office 365 required Intermediate to advanced knowledge of hardware including printers, desktops, and peripheral components Experience with legal document management systems — iManage and/or NetDocuments required Familiarity with cloud printing platforms such as Printix or PaperCut Working knowledge of IS and ERP systems Ability to quickly learn and implement new software and technical tools Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented demeanor Self-motivated, punctual, dependable, and composed under pressure Willingness and ability to travel with the trial team as needed Why You Will Love Working Here This isn't a role where you'll be stuck resetting passwords all day.
