Job Summary The Safety & Security Associate will promote a safe, secure, and welcoming campus environment where guests, tenants, staff, and community members of all backgrounds can come and enjoy our facilities. Ensure that everyone is following proper safety procedures and protocols and identify and eliminate any hazards that may be present in the workplace. This role is responsible for providing security detail outlined in the post orders and establishing working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. This position will always perform job duties with a constant awareness of surroundings, noting all activity in the assigned area, maintaining a professional image, and consistently demonstrating excellent customer service. This position will require flexibility with after-hours and weekend events and availability by personal cell phone and/or other similar communication devices as needed. Schedule Wednesday through Sunday 3:30 PM

  • Be on time and report to post in full uniform.
  • Maintain a professional image that includes greeting customers, visitors, and employees politely and kindly.
  • Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information from The Jones Center.
  • Continuously monitor cameras or equipment as outlined in the post orders.
  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and access points. diligently report any suspicious activity and investigate accidents and criminal acts.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures, and regulations to respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports, Logbook Entries, Incident Reports, and all relevant reports related to job assignments.
  • Make recommendations to management on better safety and loss prevention processes as identified during daily routine.
  • Know about any life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system computers, and other equipment to complete job assignments. Ensure continuous and safe operation of all elevators and access doors. Know authorized contractor personnel who are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
