We are searching for a full time Loss Prevention Assistant Manager in Garden City.
General Info:
Candidates with a current badge to work in the cannabis industry in Colorado will be given heavy preference. If you do not have that, you can apply for this by clicking HERE! (https://sbg.colorado.gov/med-employee-license-application) (https://sbg.colorado.gov/med-employee-license-application) This is a full time, regularly scheduled around 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate is a responsible, proactive leader who can remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and take initiative without requiring constant supervision. Previous supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred, along with a willingness to learn additional responsibilities. Pay - DOE, this position starts at $23-27/hour. Our Security team works closely with the retail and operational parts of our business. Basic Functions of the
Job:
Uphold the state laws and the organization's rules for both customers and employees. Observe other locations via extensive security camera system, to provide back up and support when needed. Escort vendors and visitors around the property.
Pocket checks:
visually inspect to ensure no marijuana products are on employees as they exit the facility—no physical contact or touching of employees during pocket checks. Check temperatures and humidity levels of facility grow areas once the last cultivator leaves Investigate and report any suspicious activities or incidents. Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary. Lead workplace investigations and assign tasks to employees as needed Address employee performance and disciplinary matters in accordance with company policies Provide shift coverage when necessary Communicate with alarm companies, law enforcement, and other relevant parties as needed Conduct employee and operational observations Train and support employees to ensure they understand their responsibilities and procedures Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to team members Perform basic IT troubleshooting and minor equipment repairs Assist management with other operational duties as needed
Ideal Skills and Experience:
Previous loss prevention experience or security preferred. High ethical standards, and willingness to follow all rules by the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) and the organization. Basic computer skills needed to operate camera systems, and keep up with communication and logs. Strong attention to detail and observational skills. Ability to work independently and handle high-stress situations. Flexible availability and willingness to work varying shifts as needed Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision Strong verbal and written communication skills We are an EEO Employer.
