Job Description
Job Summary The Beautiful Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer.
Key ResponsibilitiesAsset ProtectionMonitor premises, make frequent property walks, public areas resence to detect suspicious behavior or potential security risks.
Identify and prevent theft, fraud, and policy violations.
Conduct routine inspections of doors, windows, storage areas, and alarm systems.
Incident Response & ReportingRespond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or disturbances.
Detain and interview suspected individuals in accordance with company policies and legal guidelines.
Document incidents accurately with clear, detailed written reports.
Assist law enforcement when required.
InvestigationPerform internal investigations related to theft, safety violations, or misconduct.
Gather evidence, complete incident summaries, and maintain accurate documentation.
Safety & ComplianceEnforce company policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention standards.
Support safety programs including fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and accident response.
Participate in regular audits and compliance checks.
Customer Service & Team SupportProvide a visible and approachable security presence to enhance employee and guest safety.
Assist employees with security concerns and support operations teams with risk reduction.
Partner with management to recommend process improvements that reduce shrink and enhance safety.
QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in loss prevention, security, or related field preferred.
Strong observational, computer, and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Basic knowledge of security systemsAbility to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
PreferredCertification in security or loss prevention (e.g., LPQ, LPC) is a plus.
Knowledge of investigative procedures.
Experience in retail, hospitality, or asset protection.
