Asset Protection Officer- Supply Chain, 1st Shift

The Asset Protection Officer - Supply Chain provides onsite Asset Protection support for the facility in accordance with the Company policies and procedures, to mitigate shrink and ensure safety and security for associates and visitors. Primary Responsibilities Shrink & Investigations Enforces entry/exit controls program and screening system and consistently conducts bag/parcel checks in accordance with Company policy, identification requirements, and issues visitor badges. Responsive and communicates professionally, is friendly, welcoming, maintains composure and deescalates conflict situations. Conducts patrol activities, operational audits, observes activities to detect theft, fraud, or suspicious activity; documents investigative evidence utilizing CCTV and observations. Documents and reports suspected fraud or infractions of Company policy to Asset Protection and unit leadership. Creates and manages records using approved Company methods; may help disposition recovered merchandise. Verifies and processes trailers and paperwork in a timely manner, follows up on discrepancies. Assists with Asset Protection audits and inventory. Attends court hearings as required and updates appropriate files with related outcomes; maintains professional relationship with local law enforcement. Safe & Secure Follows safety protocols and appropriately communicates urgent matters, assists in emergency and critical incident response including responding to emergency response teams in rendering first aid, CPR/AED or other duties. Supports safety programs; provides support by walking the facility to identify and remedy potential hazards that could result in injury. Takes initiative to correct minor hazards while reporting larger concerns or consistent issues to leadership. Assists with incident investigations and completes associated reports, collecting witness statements, retention of evidence. Conducts safety activities, observes activities to detect, remedy and report safety and security infractions or hazards, reports suspicious activity; documents investigative evidence utilizing CCTV and observations. Core Competencies & Accomplishments High School Degree or equivalent work experience 1+ years Asset Protection or related security work experience, ideally in supply chain or retail environment Proficiency using Asset Protection systems and reporting, CCTV, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ensures safe work environment for self and others Accessible, approachable, forms positive, professional and inclusive relationships, quick to respond, helpful, takes initiative, clear communicator, builds skills and knowledge, teamwork, holds self accountable for company standards, procedures and poliices, completes work in a timely manner.
