This role will support the daily property operations of the apartment complex while providing property security during nights and weekends. A unit at the property will be provided for qualified candidates. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Perform security patrols of external and internal areas of locations. Assist with property move ins, rent collection, and evictions . Provide appropriate assistance to residents, guests, and visitors expediently and professionally while adhering to company and building policies. Assume lead on addressing trespassers or other individuals not permitted on the property. Assure prompt and positive action on all complaints, questions, and concerns Monitor activity on each residential floor hourly through foot patrols on the entire building and grounds. Ensure visitors, messengers, and vendors follow access control procedures according to building and Millennia policy. Control after-hour access to the property through the admittance process. Screen guests and visitors efficiently to expedite their admittance to the property. Monitors security cameras and informs and addresses any suspicious activities appropriately. Maintain constant surveillance of all access areas providing maximum visibility. Ensure common areas, hallways and grounds are secured, and free of trespassers. Prevent loss and damage by reporting irregularities or incidents immediately to management and/or law enforcement, informing violators of policy and procedures. Immediately responds to emergencies to assist residents, guests, and visitors. Respond to fire, medical emergencies, activated alarms, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, suspicious activity, and other incidents or conditions. Maintain logs, prepared incident, and activity reports, and communicate accordingly to management, life, and safety personnel, and/or public safety authorities, as required. Required Education and Experience Prior military or law enforcement background Required. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Must have excellent verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor. Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening. A professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to analyze complex problems, propose workable solutions, and implement corrective actions in all situations. Able to influence effectively; gain support for new ideas and approaches across multiple stakeholders with varying agendas and shifting priorities Solid understanding of budgeting, and business operations. Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities. A strong strategic and business mindset. Excellent organizational skills. Work Conditions & Physical Demands Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a residential setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, people, and equipment. Due to travel, the incumbent is exposed to vehicles, planes, and other methods of transportation. Able to work independently or as a team member and support managers with special projects. Strong collaboration skills - works well across functional areas—excellent relationship-building skills; able to collaborate with various levels of the organization.
