POSITION OBJECTIVE
Under the supervision of the Security Supervisor and Director of Loss Prevention, the Loss Prevention Agents are required to conduct patrols and surveillance of hotel property, identify irregularities and suspicious activities, react to emergency situations, and follow-up with incidents that occurred on each shift.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ability to read, write, understand, and generate an incident report. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Knowledge of emergency response to various emergency situations. Answer phone calls or greet guests/employees in a professional, welcoming manner. Constant attention to detail required to set priorities and follow up on assignments. Must have the ability to communicate and deal with different levels of personnel and the general public in a professional manner Ability to use initiative and judgment within established guidelines. Additional duties as directed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1-year hotel experience is required and a minimum of 2 years in a security officer role is preferred Certifications in the fundamentals of First Aid, CPR, and AED use
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time up to eight continuous hours. The employee is also required to walk, reach, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs or ramp and lift and move up to 50 pounds.
