Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and initiative-taking Paralegal specializing in Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy to join our dynamic legal team. Assist attorneys in preparing demand letters, filing breach of contract actions, trustee's sales, and filing bankruptcy related documents. Conduct legal research and review case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to bankruptcy and creditors' rights. Manage and organize case files, correspondence, and documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Communicate with clients, courts, creditors, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates. Monitor deadlines and court schedules to ensure timely submissions and filings. Draft legal documents, motions, and pleadings under attorney supervision. Support the preparation for hearings, mediations, and negotiations. Maintain knowledge of current bankruptcy laws, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and related procedures, and best practices. Other duties as assigned.Requirements Skills and Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree or Paralegal Certification; Bachelor's degree preferred. 5 or more years of Arizona experience as a paralegal in bankruptcy law or creditors' rights. Relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education. Strong understanding of bankruptcy procedures, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 filings, and Arizona trustee sales. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software. Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Working Conditions:
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (typical office or administrative work). Position requires stamina to work extended periods in excess of 8 hours per day when needed on an infrequent basis.Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.Repetitive Motion:
