Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our clients in the trucking, warehouse, freight logistics industry. You will also be assisting the legal team with the filing of complaints in Court and in preparing and responding to written discovery for our active litigation cases. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal expertise while supporting complex legal projects and document management initiatives. Responsibilities Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy. Assist attorneys with drafting, proofreading, and editing legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, memoranda, and correspondence. Manage case files and documents efficiently using document management systems like Clio; ensure accurate data entry and filing. Support litigation processes through document review, case organization, and preparation for court proceedings. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, coordinating interviews with clients or witnesses, and managing calendars for attorneys. Review legal documents for accuracy and compliance with relevant laws. Maintain effective communication with clients, courts, and external agencies via phone etiquette and professional correspondence. Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing legal cases or firm initiatives to ensure deadlines are met efficiently. Experience Proven paralegal experience in a fast-paced law office environment supporting multiple practice areas such as transportation services and personal injury. Strong knowledge of legal administrative processes including document review, case management software (e.g., Clio), data entry, filing systems, and transcription. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy setting. Demonstrated writing skills for drafting legal documents and proofreading materials accurately. Experience supporting attorneys in litigation or regulatory compliance projects is highly desirable. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professional integrity in all interactions.
