This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a diverse range of legal practice areas, including civil law, estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, criminal law, domestic relations, immigration and workers' compensation, and more. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and passionate about legal research and case management. In this position, you will play a vital role in assisting attorneys with document preparation, legal research, case file management, and administrative support, ensuring smooth and efficient legal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys Greet clients, answer phones, and handle front desk/reception duties Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and filings Manage case files, organize documents, and maintain calendars Schedule appointments, depositions, and court appearances Assist with client intake and general office management Perform translations between English and Chinese when needed Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese At least 1 year of experience working in a law firm or legal office Bachelor's degree (4-year university) preferred A work permit / legal authorization to work in the United States is required Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional demeanor Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and committed to excellent client service
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
