Legal Assistant

Job Summary We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our immigration law team. The ideal candidate will perform various legal tasks, including research, drafting documents and immigration forms for the immigration service and the immigration courts, and managing case files. Duties

• Assist attorney with immigration court case preparation and litigation processes.
• Conduct thorough legal research, including country conditions for asylum cases.
• Draft and review legal documents, including evidentiary submissions and motions.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up to date.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow within the office. Skills
• Experience working in an immigration law firm.
• Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents.
• Familiarity with paralegal duties and responsibilities.
• Strong clerical and administrative skills to manage office tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
