Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly organized and professional Legal Receptionist to join our dynamic law firm. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing exceptional administrative support while ensuring the smooth operation of the office. This role requires a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, as well as excellent communication, calendaring and organizational skills. We are looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and adaptable. Duties Greet clients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing inquiries to appropriate personnel. Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for attorneys, ensuring efficient time management. Assist with document management including filing, scanning, and organizing legal documents. Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records in legal case management systems. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal standards. Support the team with legal matters including estate planning and family law About the Person The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and a relentless commitment to quality and accuracy. The candidate should exercise sound judgment and discretion, learns quickly, and effectively prioritizes and manages multiple tasks at once. We are a close‑knit, family‑oriented team operating in a fast‑paced, positive work environment. A good sense of humor, adaptability, and a flexible attitude will help you fit in seamlessly here. The successful candidate will possess the following skills: Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in clerical tasks including data entry, filing, and calendar management. Exceptional phone etiquette with strong interpersonal skills for client interaction. Previous experience in a law office setting is preferred.
