This role is responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, supporting employment and corporate legal matters, managing litigation and intellectual property files, conducting legal research, and coordinating with outside counsel. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and legal drafting skills, experience supporting business operations in California, and the ability to manage multiple legal matters while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, revise, and manage corporate legal documents for entities organized as LLCs and corporations. Prepare and review commercial contracts, service agreements, leases, offer letters, employment agreements, employee handbooks, corporate resolutions, policies, memoranda, and other legal instruments to ensure compliance with applicable California and federal laws. Provide legal analysis and recommendations regarding California labor and employment laws, workplace policies, employee relations, disciplinary actions, compliance issues, workplace disputes, and employment claims. Conduct legal research and prepare legal analyses on matters involving corporate, commercial, construction, employment, landlord-tenant, intellectual property, litigation, regulatory compliance, and other applicable areas of law. Evaluate legal risks associated with contracts, transactions, business operations, and strategic initiatives, and provide practical recommendations to management. Assist in managing litigation, claims, disputes, complaints, and demand letters by organizing case files, reviewing documents, preparing summaries, and coordinating with outside counsel. Coordinate with outside counsel and government agencies as necessary. Manage the Company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademark filings, renewals, related legal records, contract databases, and case management files to ensure accurate organization and retention. Monitor changes in federal, California, and local laws and regulations and recommend updates to company policies and procedures. Perform other legal, administrative, and compliance-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B., J.D., or equivalent), with education in a Common Law jurisdiction preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing legal or paralegal support to businesses operating in California. Experience in one or more of the following industries: Construction, Entertainment & Media, Food & Beverage (F&B) Strong knowledge of California business, employment, and contract law. Excellent legal drafting, analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems. Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. Fluency in Vietnamese is preferred.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
