JMM is seeking a Practice Assistant to join our Tax, Trusts & Estates Department in Orange County. The Practice Assistant will provide essential, high-level administrative and executive support to the department and Office Administrator. The Firm will also provide ongoing professional development opportunities to ensure the Practice Assistant has the skills and tools to succeed. Essential Duties Collaborate with attorneys and Legal Assistants to provide administrative support. Harness your communication skills to prepare correspondence, handle phone calls, and draft written responses or reply by phone or email to requests for information. Apply your skills to assist in the client intake process (conflicts checking, forms, and engagement letters). Manage the maintenance of client/case files within the Firm's document management system. Employ your attention to detail to proofread and assist with drafting general correspondence and filings, generate expense reports, and aid with the preparation of notary signing documents, and estate or trial binders. Exercise strong coordination skills to manage client email blasts, enter contacts into our CRM, DealCloud, and send follow-up emails to cross-market. Utilize your organizational skills to maintain legal files and case rooms. Participate in file transfer requests, paper and electronic, including accurate documentation, records management software tracking, and data entry. Transport moderate to heavy items (30-50 pounds), which may require lifting and bending. Engage with peers and other administrative teams to assist with overflow work and miscellaneous other tasks as needed. Qualifications Four-year college degree or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of administrative experience is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Salary:
$65k - $80k base
