Response Lead - Humanitarian & Family Immigration Brigante Law Group, Inc. (BLG) is an immigration law firm representing federal immigration law clients in all 50 states. BLG has an opening for an in-office, full-time Senior Paralegal with a minimum of 5 years' experience in family or humanitarian immigration to lead the firm's Request for Evidence (RFE) and Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID) response lane. Beyond the full scope of senior paralegal case-preparation duties, this position serves as the primary owner of the firm's

responses across humanitarian and family-based matters. The role requires sharp legal-issue spotting, disciplined deadline management, and the ability to assemble persuasive, well-corroborated evidence packages under time pressure. Primary Responsibilities - RFE / NOID Response Own the firm's RFE and NOID response lane across humanitarian and family-based case types (VAWA/I-360, T-Visa, U-Visa, I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131). Review and analyze incoming RFEs and NOIDs to identify the evidence requested, the legal grounds raised by USCIS, and the deficiencies to be cured; develop the response strategy with the reviewing/signing attorney. Triage RFEs and NOIDs by deadline and maintain a centralized deadline docket so no response deadline is missed. Draft
RFE/NOID
response cover letters, legal argument sections, evidence indexes, and exhibit lists for attorney review and signature. Gather corroborating evidence, coordinating records requests from law enforcement, courts, medical/mental-health providers, employers, and other third parties, and work with clients to obtain missing documents, declarations, and support letters. Conduct cross-document consistency review, then assemble, format, paginate, and finalize complete response packets for timely filing. Track and report the status of all pending

responses to the supervising attorney and Manager on a weekly basis. General Senior Paralegal Responsibilities Review and prepare immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency (VAWA/I-360, T-Visa, U-Visa, I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131). Communicate with clients on procedural and case-processing issues, keeping them informed of missing documents and case status before and after filing. Assist attorneys with case preparation, serve as the point of contact between client and attorney, and complete case preparation in a timely manner. Utilize the case management system to update case-processing status and client information; maintain both hardcopy and electronic client case files. Prioritize and meet assigned deadlines and provide weekly case-status reports to the Manager. Translate client documents and assist with supervision of the production team. Qualifications At least 5 years of immigration law experience, including at least 1 year of humanitarian (VAWA/T-Visa) experience. Demonstrated experience preparing and assembling RFE and/or NOID responses. Immigration case management experience required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must. Strong deadline, docket, and workflow management skills; strong attention to detail. Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills; a great team player.
Compensation & Benefits Base:
$67,000 annually (depending on experience). 401(k); dental, health, and vision insurance. Language & Work Location Spanish (required). Pasadena, CA. On-site required.
