Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support litigation matters for a busy legal team in California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages competing deadlines effectively, and brings strong organizational skills to daily legal support work. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to case preparation, filing activity, and attorney support while helping keep matters on track from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review, and submit court documents through electronic filing systems while ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines.
  • Maintain attorney calendars by tracking hearings, filing dates, meetings, and other case-related commitments.
  • Support civil litigation matters by organizing case files, monitoring deadlines, and assisting with document preparation.
  • Coordinate court filings and related legal paperwork with accuracy, timeliness, and attention to procedural requirements.
  • Manage correspondence, records, and case materials so information is easy to access and properly maintained.
  • Assist attorneys with drafting, formatting, and finalizing legal documents for active litigation matters.
  • Monitor filing confirmations, follow up on submission issues, and help resolve routine procedural questions as needed.
