Part-Time or Full-Time, Non-Exempt - Hourly As a Paralegal for Brockway Law, PC, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys and clients, by ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of assigned case management documents, timely project completion, efficient data entry, accurate tracking/reporting, and related assigned tasks. Key Responsibilities- Draft, edit, format, and proofread complex legal documents related to estate planning, trusts, and probate, and ensure documents are properly formatted/processed to meet firm-specific standards
- Organize and maintain physical and digital client files and case records
- Proactively monitor emails and anticipate legal tasks/calendar legal dates and deadlines for attorneys
- Self-monitor and double check work to prevent numerical, grammar, spelling or similar errors; take pride in accuracy and effective professional writing and communication skills
- Calendar and track important legal dates, court deadlines, case workflow, and follow-ups
- Perform general administrative support and assist with special projects as needed
- Cross train with front desk and/or other administrative or support roles as needed Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an estate planning, trust and probate law office
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to details, accuracy, and high-level error preventing proofreading ability
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and follow through on assigned tasks
- Comfortable working under pressure/fast pace and meeting deadlines with a constructive attitude
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with legal practice management software
- Ability to read and understand complex legal documents and provide concise summaries
- Ability to positively collaborate with co-workers and clients at all levels; solution and results oriented Work Environment & Expectations This is a fully on-site role in a collaborative, respectful, and professional law office.
