A Paralegal or Legal Assistant assists attorneys and law offices with a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support to legal research and writing. Maintains and organizes files or file databases. Conducts legal or other background research, assists with preparation for trials or hearings, and drafts documents to be filed. Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Minimum Qualifications Juris Doctor or equivalent degree Preferred Qualifications Exceptional academic record Demonstrated interest in teaching Excellent writing and research skills Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills Relevant practice experience Demonstrated commitment to legal scholarship Commitment to the vision, mission and core values of the law school Technological competence Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
