Job Description
Overview The Geller Firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to support our growing practice. This role focuses exclusively on California family law matters and requires strong case management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and experienced in supporting attorneys through all stages of family law proceedings, from intake through trial. Responsibilities Draft, review, and proofread family law documents, including pleadings, Judicial Council forms, declarations, Requests for Order, responsive pleadings, and Findings and Orders After Hearing Prepare and manage discovery, including form interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and subpoenas for business records Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness lists, trial binders, and compliance with court-specific pretrial requirements Maintain and organize case files, ensuring accurate calendaring of deadlines, hearings, and statutory requirements Conduct legal research related to California family law statutes, case law, and local rules Coordinate with clients to gather financial documents, disclosures, and other relevant information for case development Prepare and manage preliminary and final Declarations of Disclosure, including Income and Expense Declarations and supporting documentation Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner Assist with e-filing and document service through approved platforms (e.g., InfoTrack or similar systems) Support attorneys with day-to-day case management, scheduling, and administrative tasks as needed Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a strong focus on California family law Familiarity with California Rules of Court, local court procedures, and Judicial Council forms Experience handling discovery, disclosures, and trial preparation in family law matters Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously Excellent writing, proofreading, and document formatting skills Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with attorneys and team members Professional demeanor and strong client communication skills This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in meaningful family law matters while working in a focused, efficient, and collaborative environment.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:
