Job Description
Are you an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal Join a highly respected California law firm dedicated to representing public safety associations and first responders in high-stakes litigation and employment matters. What You'll Do Provide comprehensive litigation support throughout all phases of civil litigation. Draft and edit pleadings, discovery, correspondence, subpoenas, and other legal documents. Conduct legal research and assist with initial case evaluations. Manage case files, litigation calendars, court deadlines, and document filings. Organize exhibits, evidence, discovery, and trial binders. Coordinate service of legal documents and maintain pleading and discovery indexes. Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials. Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel. Assist with settlement preparation and post-trial procedures. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Completion of an ABA-approved (or equivalent) Paralegal Certificate Program. 5+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience. Strong knowledge of California court procedures, litigation deadlines, and filing requirements. Excellent legal writing, research, and document management skills. Exceptional organizational abilities with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional communication skills and the ability to remain composed under pressure. Experience with legal case management and document management software.
