Fennemore is seeking a full-time Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant to join our growing Denver office. This is a valuable opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to high-level litigation matters in a dynamic and fast-paced legal environment. In this role, the Legal Administrative Assistant will collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to provide comprehensive administrative support throughout the litigation lifecycle. Responsibilities include managing complex calendaring, tracking court deadlines, and preparing, filing, and organizing legal documents. The work performed in this position plays an integral role in supporting the effectiveness and efficiency of the legal team. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines. The position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercise sound judgment, and contribute to a supportive, client-focused team culture.

Responsibilities:

Heavy calendaring, docketing, and scheduling. Document compilation, review, proofing, and preparation. Coordinates conflict checks and assists with retention letters. Answers telephone calls and transmits messages to attorneys, paralegals, and staff. Files and organizes legal documents and correspondence under the general direction of paralegals and attorneys. Prepares indexes, file backers, labels, and trial/case notebooks. Tracks attorney CLE. Submits court filings, including e-filing with state and federal courts. Coordinates the completion of projects with other firm departments as needed. As part of our commitment to collaboration and excellence, this role requires flexibility in daily work schedules during periods of high workload, adherence to departmental and Firm goals and policies, and performance of other duties as assigned to support the success of the department and organization.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years of legal administrative assistant experience in litigation, construction litigation experience is a plus. Adherence to the highest standards of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality and the ability to carefully handle and protect sensitive information. Ability to perform basic online research, including searching court dockets; Proficiency in the common collection of Microsoft Office software, including Word (e.g., headers/footers, TOA's and TOC's), Excel, PowerPoint, and in creating, editing, and manipulating .pdf documents. Adaptability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several projects to completion on a deadline. High school diploma or equivalent.
