You will provide support to one or more attorneys in all phases of collections, including related collection litigation, foreclosure, and bankruptcy Job Functions Understanding of state and local court rules, guidelines, case workflow processes; Receive and review incoming mail for assigned attorneys, determine next actions Draft correspondence, documents, pleadings Manage the organization and workflow of a large volume of matters Assist with administrative tasks in order to reduce attorney non-billable time Communicate in professional and respectful manner with clients, employees, attorneys, opposing parties and third-party providers Maintain and hold in high regard all confidential information obtained through employment Type at least 50+ wpm, 10-key Proven competencies in general computer programs such as Word, Outlook, Excel FDCPA familiarity (training/testing required) Provide 40 hours per week of service Education and Experience - at least one of the following: A baccalaureate degree or advanced degree in any subject, with a recommended minimum of two years of experience in a law firm Certificate of completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program, with a recommended minimum of two years of experience in a law firm Certificate of completion of a paralegal program at or a degree from a post-secondary institution that requires the successful completion of a minimum 24 semester or equivalent units in law-related courses and that has been accredited by a national or regional accrediting organization, with a recommended minimum of two years of experience in a law firm Collections and/or HOA law firm experience a plus Please submit your resume for consideration.
