Job Description

You must already live in Connecticut, specifically, New London County and within 30 minutes of the office to be considered. Please do not apply otherwise. Our law firm is currently seeking to hire a highly experienced Connecticut Litigation Paralegal. Personal injury experience is required. We are looking for a paralegal who possesses previous paralegal experience in complex litigation and some transactional matters. Our ideal candidate must possess strong administrative, exceptional communication skills and strong attention to detail. Candidate must be comfortable with overseeing a busy caseload from inception to settlement. Responsibilities Oversight and quality control of client files Examines documents by proofreading for errors in spelling in, punctuation, formatting and grammar Drafts various documents including memos, correspondences, memos, subpoenas, orders, affidavits, related documents Prepares various forms, templates, reports, correspondence, legal documents, pleadings and other documents of confidential nature Performs legal research Schedule meetings, teleconferences, and appointments Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures Proficiency in MS Office (Copilot, Teams, MS Word, Excel and MS Outlook, in particular) Familiarity with email calendaring, appointments, AI use Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Attention to detail and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements Paralegal certifications and JD candidates preferred. Bachelors degree required

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized. Requirements Company cell phone and laptop policy. You must live in New London County Qualifications Bachelor's degree Paralegal certificate Must obtain Connecticut Notary certificate before start date.
