Our law firm's mission is to provide a high-quality legal team that meets and exceeds the needs of our clients. We offer a wide range of legal services including but not limited to personal injury recovery, real estate transactions, business organization, contract drafting, trusts, estates, and medical malpractice. Our law firm has over 3000 clients and our office staff consists of legal personnel with experience practicing in the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals Second Circuit, all three Connecticut state court levels, and other states such as New York, Rhode Island, and more. This legal assistant position at Umeugo & Associates, P.C. will involve gathering and arranging evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation. Assisting the attorneys with the preparation of legal documents and arguments to be filed with the court or opposing counsel. Drafting and sending correspondence letters to the opposing party's counsel or representatives. Calling clients, witnesses, and lawyers to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions. Using technology and computer software to organize documents and collect data during a case. Organizing and maintaining documents in paper and electronic filing systems. On the job training will be provided to teach and develop the necessary skill sets for the job function.
