The ideal candidate would be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and proven ability to multi-task. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff for appropriate discovery tasks. Maintain accurate records of all discoveries and pending tasks. Client contact, including coordinating, scheduling and completing discovery calls Drafting, reviewing and filing legal documents Communicate with court clerks, opposing counsel, and clients for case management tasks. Draft and review legal correspondence including thoroughly proofreading for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting. Complete discovery responses in compliance with court rules and procedures and file them in the FL Filing Portal.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills. Strong Computer skills required - proficient in the use of Word, Microsoft Office, prior experience with PracticePanther, legal case management software a plus. Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude. Prior legal experience with insurance adjuster or case manager a plus. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. First Party Property Litigation experience is a plus, but not a pre-requisite Bilingual in English and Spanish is a major plus. Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to litigation.
