Full Job Description Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred) College Degree (Associate's degree) (preferred)
Experience:
Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Foreclosure Experience:
1 year (Preferred) Responsibilities Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and meetings by organizing case files, calendars, and documents. Conduct searches using the various property appraiser and clerk of courts' sites Draft pleadings and letters Maintain accurate records of case files Maintain the attorney's calendar Correspond with clients and non-clients Perform any other task as assigned or needed. Must be able to communicate/correspond with Judicial Assistants, Clerk of Court, and Opposing Parties. Skills Must have clerical skills with attention to detail for accurate file management. Must possess knowledge of legal terminology, legal forms and documents, legal practices and procedures, and legal calendaring. Must have writing and communication skills Most know Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Must have a work ethic and follow the firm's policies and rules. Ability to interact effectively with clients, maintain confidentiality and discretion, work independently without specific instruction, and use good judgment to make decisions appropriate to this level of responsibility. Must know how to search for judges' procedures, schedule hearings, locate virtual hearing room's information, and e-file Ability to label and store documents in the physical file and electronically using the firm's case management system. Must be comfortable organizing files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining calendars to make sure deadlines are met. Ability to prioritize certain tasks as needed. $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
