Minimum 5 years in insurance defense litigation We are seeking an insurance defense paralegal for a well-established law firm in Orlando specializing in insurance defense litigation . The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality legal services in a law firm environment, as a skilled and experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to support attorneys and help manage a fast-paced caseload efficiently.

Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation and must be proficient in legal billing software. This role requires a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who can manage case files, coordinate with clients, and assist in all aspects of litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery documents. Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial notebooks. Conduct legal research and summarize depositions, medical records, and discovery responses. Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, and hearings. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel. Maintain case files and ensure all deadlines are met. Prepare and submit attorney billing using legal billing software (experience with systems such as Bill4Time, Clio, or Timeslips is preferred).

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a paralegal in insurance defense litigation . Proficiency in legal billing software and timekeeping processes. Strong knowledge of Florida court rules and e-filing procedures. Excellent research, writing, and communication skills. Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and work independently.
