Job Description

Overview The Administrative Legal Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and client service support to attorneys and legal staff, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate recordkeeping, and a high level of client care. This role is integral to the client experience—from initial intake through document execution and post-signing follow-up—and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings. Prepare and draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Review and organize legal files using document management systems; ensure all case documents are accurate and up-to-date. Conduct thorough document review and proofreading to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with legal standards. Support case management activities by entering data accurately into legal case management software; track deadlines and maintain organized filing systems. Handle clerical duties such as data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Assist with client interviews and communication under attorney supervision to facilitate effective case development. Requirements Legal administrative experience demonstrating familiarity with various practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, litigation, or family law. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities. Experience with legal document management software such as Net Documents or similar programs is preferred. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills. Strong project management capabilities with attention to detail in document review and data entry tasks. Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
