Complex Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and detail-oriented Complex Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our growing practice. This position provides comprehensive litigation support to attorneys representing clients throughout Florida in complex civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate is proactive, thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, excels at managing multiple priorities, and demonstrates exceptional communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring cases move efficiently from inception through trial while maintaining the highest level of client service. Essential Responsibilities Manage a complex litigation caseload from pre-suit through trial and appeal. Electronically file documents in Florida state and federal courts. Maintain litigation calendars, monitor deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders. Coordinate hearings, mediations, arbitrations, depositions, inspections, and trial dates. Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files, exhibits, discovery, and evidence. Prepare discovery binders, witness files, and trial notebooks. Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit management, witness coordination, and courtroom support. Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, court personnel, vendors, and third-party service providers. Maintain confidentiality while exercising sound judgment and professionalism in all client interactions. "Compensation commensurate with experience" (less effective than a range) Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable: Construction defect litigation Commercial litigation Real estate disputes Breach of contract and business torts Patent, trademark, trade secrets, and/or other intellectual property disputes Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing requirements. Extensive experience with Florida e-Filing Portal, CM/ECF and electronic case management systems. High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Outlook, and legal case management and billing software (such as iManage and Clio). Proficiency in Relativity and Trial Director a plus. Strong proofreading, grammar, and document formatting skills. Excellent written and oral communication abilities. Ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team. Professional demeanor with a strong client-service orientation. $50,326.73 - $82,000.00 per year
