Paralegal Job Duties & Responsibilities Include:
Serve as primary client contact, answering phones, greeting clients, providing professional communication, and managing client expectations. Manage client matters efficiently from inception through trial and post-trial proceedings. Coordinate and schedule appointments, hearings, mediations, and meetings while managing multiple calendars. Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, court documents, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence. Assist attorneys with discovery process, document production, exhibit preparation, witness materials, trial binders, and all phases of trial readiness.
Ideal Candidate Skills and Qualities:
Self-driven with outstanding problem-solving skills. Strong executive presence with organizational and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and in writing. Proven ability to be proactive, hands-on, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in legal research, case management software, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to work with different attorneys in various practice areas, including civil litigation, family law, probate litigation, business law and criminal law. Constructively work in a team environment.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Litigation Paralegal. Paralegal certificate is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Family Law experience is a plus.
