Company perks Growth opportunities We're looking for a Legal Assistant to assist attorneys with administrative duties. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining legal documents, conducting legal research and assisting with court hearings. Being good at oral and written communication is essential, as you will interact with clients and legal professionals. As a legal assistant, you must be able to work well under pressure, manage deadlines and have good organizational skills. Ultimately, you should be able to safeguard our finances, keep track of court dates and help us deliver accurate legal advice.
Responsibilities:
Gather and document client information so that it can be looked up at a later time. Work with attorney to draft contracts, wills and other legal documents. Coordinate with law enforcement agencies and witnesses during investigations. Research legal cases using search engines and databases. Draft letters, statements and appeals to opposing counsel. Schedule court hearings, meetings and depositions. Prepare case documentation for deadlines and hearings. Order office supplies and maintain inventory of stock. Answer phone calls, screen calls or direct them to appropriate person. Process payments for services. Maintain online presence by updating clients about the latest developments in case. Answer questions from clients about laws and procedures. Keep updated records of office expenses and costs.
