In this role, you will provide essential administrative and legal support across a variety of practice areas, ensuring smooth operations and efficient case management. Your energetic approach and organizational skills will help facilitate legal research, document preparation, client communication, and case coordination. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal support experience within a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with legal research using tools such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, and iManage to gather relevant case law, statutes, and legal precedents. Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, contracts, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail. Manage case files and document review processes using document management systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality. Support litigation activities by organizing files, scheduling depositions, coordinating court filings, and tracking deadlines in compliance with procedural law requirements. Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses to gather pertinent information for cases involving personal injury, family law, estate planning, or other practice areas. Handle data entry, filing, and general administrative tasks such as answering phones with professional etiquette and managing calendars for attorneys. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws including UCC law, tribal regulations, securities law, workers' compensation law, patent law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, environmental law, and civil litigation procedures. Qualifications Paralegal experience or prior legal support experience in a fast-paced law office environment is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of procedural law and legal research methods using Westlaw and LexisNexis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with familiarity with document management systems like iManage. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration. Experience supporting diverse practice areas such as estate planning, family law, personal injury law, securities law, or environmental law is a plus. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally. Strong proofreading skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail in legal drafting and document review.
