Job Description

Legal Assistant
  • Temp to Hire Tampa, FL 33602 $30
  • 33/hour We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation team in a fast-paced legal environment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative setting and is comfortable managing multiple priorities. Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, proofread, and organize legal documents and correspondence
  • Maintain and manage electronic case files, pleadings, discovery, emails, and records
  • Coordinate document production and assist with litigation support tasks
  • Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, attorneys, and outside parties
  • Assist with trial, hearing, and deposition preparation, including exhibits and attorney notebooks
  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions, and track deadlines
  • Open and close legal files while maintaining accurate records
  • Screen phone calls, route messages, and provide information as directed
  • Arrange travel accommodations as needed
  • Assist with billing and invoice preparation
  • Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned Qualifications
  • 5+ years of legal assistant or legal secretarial experience preferred
  • Litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Strong typing, proofreading, grammar, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal experience is a plus Position Details
