We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. Position Overview The Litigation Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process, from filing suit through settlement, mediation, trial, or verdict. This position focuses on complex personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases and requires a professional who can manage multiple files, anticipate needs, and maintain exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with attorneys, teammates, clients, healthcare providers, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel to ensure cases move efficiently and strategically through litigation. Key Responsibilities Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, hearings, and court schedules. Draft, review, and prepare pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents. Coordinate and track written discovery and document production. Organize, summarize, and analyze medical records, billing records, and healthcare documentation. Coordinate expert witnesses, including physicians, life-care planners, economists, vocational experts, and other damages experts. Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, expert evaluations, and other case events. Prepare mediation materials, trial exhibits, witness files, exhibit lists, and trial notebooks. Maintain accurate and organized case files within the firm's case management system. Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments, deadlines, and litigation milestones. Assist attorneys in developing case strategies and preparing damages presentations. Support attorneys during trial preparation and trial proceedings as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience required. Experience in plaintiff personal injury, medical malpractice, or wrongful death litigation strongly preferred. Thorough understanding of Florida civil litigation procedures, court rules, and deadlines. Experience reviewing, organizing, and summarizing medical records and damages-related documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple active litigation files while meeting strict deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software. Trial experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with electronic filing systems.
