Job Description Job Description A well-established litigation firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Legal Assistant to join their fast-paced office. This role requires at least 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has strong organizational skills, and excels in communication. Prior experience in insurance defense is preferred.

Key Responsibilities Provide daily support to attorneys and paralegals in general liability litigation. Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, coordinating meetings, managing case files, and answering calls. Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, conferences, and other legal proceedings. Compile, organize, and prepare case documents, binders, and records. Maintain and update electronic case files with relevant information. Calendar deadlines and important case events to ensure timely filings. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary. Strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology. Proficiency in electronic filing for state and federal courts. Familiarity with Federal and Florida Rules of Civil Procedure. Knowledge of litigation processes and court procedures, including Florida E-Filing (ECF). Experience with trial preparation and document organization. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and excellent typing ability. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work independently.
