Job Description

Seeking a Paralegal/ Legal Assistant to handle day-to-day administrative obligations. Pay depends on experience. Must have minimum 3 years of active legal/ law office experience working as paralegal or legal assistant and require minimal training. We are seeking a fulltime, long term employee. Having a background in real estate, probate and estate planning is ideal and will make initial training faster, but it is not required so long as candidate has at least 3 years of experience working for attorneys/ law firm. The ideal candidate for this position must have a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills, and must be accustomed to working in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Responsible for administrative operations of the firm, including supporting the attorney and supervising the attorney's calendar and schedule.
  • Maintaining professionalism at all times, this includes understanding law office decorum, dress code and exhibiting professional communication skills, in person, on the telephone and in written communications.
  • Regularly and accurately proofreading all documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to distribution.
  • Effectively manage, review, and follow up on deadlines, dates, and appointments without close supervision.
  • Must have foundational knowledge of legal processes, procedures, and terminology related to the review, preparation, and processing of various legal documents.
  • A background in real estate, probate and estate planning law is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and general office software.
  • Must understand confidentiality requirements
  • Must have active listening, problem-solving, and analytical comprehension.
  • Must have exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be dependable, able to work fulltime, have a reliable vehicle.
