Job description: Lueder, Larkin, and Hunter, a well-established and respected law firm in a multi-state area with multiple locations throughout Georgia is looking for an experienced Closing Paralegal to join our Closings practice group. This position is based out of our Braselton or Winder office, the chosen candidate will be able to choose their assigned primary office. However, split-site coverage is required, with occasional travel (as needed) to our other nearby locations in [Winder/Braselton] and Gainesville. All three offices are within a 30-minute radius of one another. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service to real estate agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers throughout the closing process. Lueder, Larkin, and Hunter offers a relaxed, business casual work environment. Job Summary The Closing Coordinator manages all phase of the firm's real estate transactions. Including preclosing, opening and managing residential real estate closing files from contract to closing, ensuring all executed legal documents meet strict compliance standards, are electronically filed with county clerks, and are securely distributed to clients, lenders, and title underwriters.
Salary:
Starting at $40,000 (DOE) + extensive benefits package + discretionary annual bonuses + standard IRS mileage reimbursement for travel between office locations during the workday.
Key Responsibilities Tax Document Preparation:
Complete and validate Georgia PT-61 transfer tax forms accurately prior to recording.
E-Filing Submission:
Audit executed deeds and security instruments for proper signatures and notary seals before submitting via e-filing portals.
Document Distribution:
Package and mail original recorded deeds and final title insurance policies to buyers.
Inbound Inquiry Management:
Monitor the firm's dedicated post-closing email inbox to promptly resolve lender corrections and county rejections.
Secure Digital Delivery:
Utilize firm-approved encryption tools to email confidential, final closing packages to buyers and sellers.
Qualifications and Skills Experience:
1-2 years of experience within a real estate law firm environment.
Technical Skills:
Experience with e-recording platforms (e.g., GSCCCA) and real estate closing software (e.g., Qualia, SoftPro).
Legal Compliance:
Understanding of Georgia recording requirements, witness rules, and notary standards.
Communication:
Professional email and phone etiquette for representing the firm to lenders and county clerks.
