Job Description

One of the largest Law firms in North Georgia located in Downtown Canton currently seeking full-time litigation paralegal or legal assistant to join our firm. Experience in the legal industry is preferred.
The successful candidate must:
-Be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of case management software is a plus, but not a requirement. -Possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Salary commensurate with experience. Some responsibilities of our paralegals include:
  • Docketing and scheduling events
  • Adding ticklers/reminders to attorneys' calendar and firm calendar as needed
  • Screening and scheduling consultations for prospective clients
  • Scheduling mediations, hearings, trials, meetings, etc. as necessary with court contacts, opposing counsels, clients, staff, and attorneys.
  • Serves as witness or notary as necessary
  • Managing attorneys' mail and email
  • Scheduling client calls/meetings
  • Client communication
  • Assuring that the attorneys' calendars are accurately and meticulously maintained and organized in an efficient manner
  • Interacting with court and administrative agencies re: hearings, mediations, motions, and other appearances
  • Functions as the court's primary point of contact with the Firm for all administrative and scheduling issues
  • Drafting, sending and/or e-filing correspondence and pleadings

$40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
