Uses software for electronic discovery of materials such as email for a trial. May specialize in a particular area of the law such as corporate or criminal law, family law or real estate law.

Job Description

Established law firm in Macon, Georgia is seeking a Legal Assistant with experience in Real Estate. The successful candidate will be passionate about providing excellent assistance to attorneys and clients in a timely, accurate and professional manner. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Communicate with clients, attorneys and others via telephone, email and written correspondence. Prepare legal documents and correspondence. Maintain client and firm files. Data entry in file and time management systems. Maintain attorneys' calendars and schedules. Prioritize and organize daily workload to meet client and firm deadlines.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. Previous experience as a legal assistant or secretarial experience preferred but not required. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite with excellent typing skills. Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities; good reading comprehension, attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through. Ability to stay professional, productive, and adjust to changing demands under pressure. Must be able to interact and communicate professionally and respectfully with clients and individuals at all levels of the firm. Effective listening, oral and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation, both internal and external. Personal commitment to learning and professional development. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
