Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant Vidalia, GA (serving clients in Georgia, South Carolina & North Carolina) About Us We are a growing, client-focused litigation firm handling personal injury and civil matters across Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. As a smaller, local firm, we pride ourselves on hands-on advocacy, strong client relationships, and high-quality legal work. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Lead paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of litigation—from case intake through trial. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple cases while maintaining precision and organization. Job Description
  • Case Preparation & Management
  • Assist attorneys with case planning, development, and strategy
  • Organize, manage, and maintain litigation files (electronic)
  • Track court deadlines, discovery schedules, and case calendars
  • Prepare case materials in advance of hearings, depositions, and trial events (per firm SOPs)
  • Discovery & Investigation
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests (interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission)
  • Review and summarize opposing party discovery responses
  • Coordinate document collection, review, and production
  • Schedule depositions, including coordinating location and court reporters
  • Draft and serve Notices of Deposition
  • Conduct witness interviews and prepare summaries
  • Document Drafting
  • Draft legal documents including:
  • Demands
  • Pleadings
  • Motions
  • Subpoenas
  • Affidavits
  • Deposition summaries
  • Trial preparation materials
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials
  • Prepare estimate charts for property damage cases
  • Prepare medical bill summaries/charts for personal injury cases
  • Court Filings
  • File documents in state and federal courts (including e-filing through systems such as PACER and state portals)
  • Ensure all filings comply with applicable court rules and local procedures
  • Serve pleadings in accordance with jurisdictional requirements
  • Qualifications
  • Experience in litigation (personal injury experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure and discovery processes
  • Familiarity with federal and state court filing systems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively
  • Experience with case management software (e.
