LEGAL ASSISTANT/SECRETARY
(FULL TIME) Interested in an opportunity for growth in a cohesive work environment? We're a motivated team looking for another team member to contribute to our successful and growing practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Clerical Duties (e.g., reception, answering phones, receiving/distributing mail, office errands, including some personal errands/assistance, calendaring, filing, scanning, organizing, copying, faxing, stocking office supplies, opening/closing office, general office maintenance/cleaning, etc.); Liaise with clients and vendors; Provide administrative support for multiple attorneys and chief operating officer. Prepare and proof-read documents; conduct legal research. Follow all legal procedures and handle related paperwork. Basic accounting functions including, but not limited to, monthly billing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Requirements:
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; Minimum of 2 years of recent administrative work experience; Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment; A team player who is able to work well with others as well as independently; Proficient in MS Office Applications and Adobe Acrobat; Self starter who is able to adapt with new technology, legal terminology and policies and procedures; Works well under pressure while maintaining keen attention to detail. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include before and after normal work hours; weekends, and holidays when necessary. Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job. Must be able to move and lift items up to 20lbs, and perform other light physical work. Positive attitude.
