Civil Litigation Paralegal Hale Law LLC Chicago, IL Job Details Full-time 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Writing skills Litigation discovery assistance Databases Administrative experience Attention to detail Legal drafting Organizational skills Computer skills Legal case management Full Job Description Hale Law is looking for an experienced paralegal to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process including conducting interviews, legal research, document filing and attending trials. This paralegal will work primarily with attorneys focused on civil rights litigation. A prime candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in litigation with thorough knowledge of the litigation process from initial pleading through trial work.
Job Duties:
Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics, schedule depositions, etc) Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes File pleadings, motions, and other documents with the courts Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests Gather relevant information and documents from a variety of sources Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties Provide assistance with case settlementsRequirements:
Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification Proven working experience as a Litigation Paralegal Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc Thorough knowledge of preparing subpoenas, processing discovery, and preparing for trial Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail Exceptional organization skills and ability to work independently Extensive computer and database expertiseBenefits:
