In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and support for legal practice areas, including criminal law, family law and civil law. Your proactive approach will ensure efficient case management, accurate document review, and seamless communication with clients. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your legal expertise while contributing to impactful legal work in a comfortable and friendly office environment. Duties Assist attorney with case management. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity. Manage and organize legal files using document management systems. Review and summarize evidence and discovery. Experience with electronic filing in state court. Support the office by coordinating deadlines, tracking case progress, and maintaining detailed logs of activities. Perform data entry tasks related to client information, case details, and billing records with high accuracy. Schedule client interviews and appointments while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills to facilitate smooth communication flow. Assist with administrative functions including filing, photocopying, transcription of legal dictation, and managing incoming correspondence. Collaborate closely with attorneys on litigation preparation by reviewing documents and preparing summaries for court filings or client updates. Skills Knowledge of the law and legal process. Experience with legal case management software. Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence. Good grammar and ability to draft pleading and routine legal documents. Strong organizational skills. Effective communication skills. Administrative experience supporting attorneys through clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, transcription services, and document management systems operation
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
