Full Job Description Position:
Paralegal Location:
Indianapolis, IN Plunkett Cooney, one of the Midwest's oldest and most respected law firms, is seeking a full-time Paralegal to join our Indianapolis office. We are looking for an experienced and motivated paralegal to provide high-level support to attorneys across multiple practice areas. This position is primarily based in our Indianapolis office, supporting one partner and one senior attorney, but may also provide remote support for our other regional office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare legal documents and summarize records. Prepare and respond to discovery requests and document production. Obtain authorizations and records from medical providers, record vendors, and/or other third parties. Prepare pleadings, briefs, simple motions and some legal research. Maintain billable monthly goal. Be proactive in cases with ability to produce high-quality documents with short deadlines.
Qualifications:
Have at least five years of experience in litigation. Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of both. Experience with document management system, preferably iManage. Be familiar with federal, state, and local court rules. Have good organization, time-management, and multitasking skills. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel). Become familiar with AI tools. Demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate is a dependable and adaptable team player who takes initiative, enjoys learning new skills, and is committed to providing high-quality service.
