This is a unique opportunity for a new or experienced Paralegal interested in learning from well-known and established practitioners. Job Description:
Stern & Mauck, LLC is seeking a paralegal to assist in our probate practice. Candidates must have excellent communication and writing skills. This role is ideal for a new or motivated professional who thrives in a friendly, client-focused environment and has an interest in probate and elder law.
Qualifications:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred. Prior experience in probate, civil, Medicaid or trust administration preferred, but not required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Commitment to client service and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file pleadings and other relevant documents with the Court. Coordinate the estate administration process, including preparing inventories, accountings, and legal notices. Assist with the preparation and submission of Medicaid applications for long-term care. Review and organize financial, medical, and legal documentation in support of Medicaid eligibility. Provide support during client meetings and follow up on required documentation or tasks. Track deadlines, communicate with government agencies, and respond to information requests.

$45,000-$55,000 salaried position Health insurance Life insurance 401(k) with employer match. Paid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays). Four-day workweek (7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
