Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are looking for a Legal Assistant - Foreclosure who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with an energized team. The Legal Assistant for this position will have excellent communication, organizational, and people skills. The Legal Assistant will be a self-motivator, someone who works well with little supervision. The responsibilities for a Legal Assistant include, but are not limited to: Manage assigned client accounts. Prepare basic court pleadings (Notice of Appearance, Substitution counsel, Substitution of Plaintiff, etc.). Communicate with client at every stage of the foreclosure via client's website, email or phone. Whichever client prefers. Electronic filing of all Pre-Judgement case Pleadings. Perform

searches and upload to client sites and/or provide supporting documents. Request hearing and document fees from client, follow-up for approval, then process fee accordingly. Process incoming mail both electronic mail and hard copy; documenting the files, uploading documents and reviewing for necessary work. Communicate with client regarding potential delays with case (i.e. title issues, contested). Request additional fees for out of the ordinary circumstances (i.e. title issues, mediations, contested). Escalate issues with client regarding possible missing docs or information. Telephone calls with, courts, sheriffs, attorneys. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Prepare Chronologies at clients requests. Working knowledge of title claims processing and mobile home foreclosure procedures. Skills & Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Basic concept/understanding of foreclosure from referral to REO Ability to read and understand title work Basic concept/understanding of different types of loan docs Basic concept/understanding of different types of loans (i.e. FHA, FNMA, Conventional, VA) Basic Knowledge of Client Software Databases, such as Black Knight, Tempo and SSE Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong analysis and judgment skills Works well in a team environment Strong organizational skills Good communication skills Enjoy public contact Able to work well under pressure Proficient computer skills Pleasant telephone manner Detail orientated Problem solving skills Typing and computer input Flexibility and ability to multi-task A professional telephone manner is essential. Must have good command of the English language, oral and written. Requirements Paralegal studies/Associate's Degree will be considered if no prior law firm experience. 2 years or more experience working in a law firm. Previous experience in a legal assistant role at a law firm is beneficial.
